Some participants came to Fraunhofer IST in Braunschweig, while most of the project team took part online. The consortium discussed the work plan and agreed about the first actions. Two members of the Stakeholder Board from CONDIAS GmbH and Wolfsburger Entwässerungsbetriebe (WEB) gave key note speeches. They presented their organisations and highlighted actual aspects of contaminants of emerging concern in wastewater as well as state-of-the-art degradation methods.

On the second day, the participants visited the waste water treatment plant of WEB in Wolfsburg, including a pilot plant for recovery of phosphorus from the effluent.
